• How do I join Harpur's Ferry?

  • Each semester Harpur's Ferry holds a General Interest Meeting and interview process for prospective members. Usually this is within the first two weekends of the semester so be sure to check our website and B-Line for the date and time. More information will be provided at this meeting so it is imperative that you attend.

• I missed the General Interest Meeting, is there a way I can join later in the semester?

  • Unfortunately, no. Due to the large applicant pool each semester, Harpur's Ferry only selects members at the beginning of each semester through an application and interview process. The training schedule for new members does not allow multiple application periods within a semester. You are encouraged to apply next semester in the event you miss the GIM.

• If I don't get into Harpur's Ferry, can I reapply next semester?

  • Yes! Many of our members were not accepted on their first try. With over 200 applicants per semester, we encourage prospective members to continue to reapply should they not be accepted on their first try.

• Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting into Harpur's Ferry?

  • Be on time to your interview, dress appropriately, and be yourself.
    
    

• Do I have to have EMS experiences to join Harpur's Ferry?
  
  • No! Most of our members have no experience when they join the agency. We provide free training and certification.
